Familial GIST research
The Life Raft Group is cooperating with two of the top GIST specialty centers, Dana-Farber Cancer Center & M.D. Anderson Cancer Center to identify potential familial GIST families and direct them to the assets provided by these institutions. Efforts to obtain funding for the characterization and study of familial GIST is underway. We will provide more information about this effort as it matures. In the meantime, anyone that suspects that their GIST might be familial can contact the Life Raft Group for further information.
