Life Raft Group Data

GIST in young adults may be similar or quite different than pediatric GIST (under 18) as the disease tends to transition from the pediatric type to the adult type. GISTs from patients in this age range may have wild-type GIST (and be more similiar to pediatric GIST), or they may have GISTs with KIT or PDGRA mutations and be more similar to adult GISTs. The response to treatment and the natural course of the disease may vary considerably as well.
